Dear Patricia, I have been performing butt augmentation with implants for the last 18 years and I can tell you from my experience that problems occur because of patients not following the instructions which are as follows:1. Follow diet sheet - Avoid fruit and vegetables (blood thinners) for 7-10 days before surgery and 2 weeks after surgery. Avoid Caffeine 1 day before surgery and 2 weeks after.2. Avoid supplements like Vit C , Vit E , MSG (blood thinners) and more on the list for 7-10 days before surgery and 2 weeks after surgery.3. Avoid medication - Aspirin, Plavix (blood thinners), diet pills (anesthesia risk) and more on the list for 7-10 before surgery and some, 2 weeks after surgery.4. Take care of drain for 7-10 days after surgery.5. Clean yourself after bowel movement , with forward movement to avoid wound contamination.6. Avoid strenuous physical activity (sex, gym, heave lifting) for 6 weeks.7. Sleep on your stomach and sit leaning forward for one month.8.Wear Velcro binder on the butt for one month 24/7.9. No high heels shoes for one month.10. Slow motion when getting out of bed or out of car for one month . You have to realize that not all results are the same, because there are different technique and different implants. Also, experience, skills and aesthetic eye are critical for good outcome. So do your due diligence carefully and choose your surgeon wisely, to avoid bad result and possible need for corrective surgery. Always, consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeons who operate in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures in the photo gallery, to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive with nice 'S' curve (shelf), nice projection, round hips (hourglass) and natural look. Best of luck, Dr Widder
