I'm looking at getting a tummy tuck after mwl surgery, however since the surgery, i have noticed a lump under one of the scars from the keyhole surgery. I'm not sure what the lump is, but was wondering if this was common, and would it affect a tummy tuck?

Answer: Tummy tuck At the time of the tummy tuck, this area will be explored. However, you can have an ultrasound done prior to surgery if you want to find out what the lump is. It may represent a hematoma, seroma or possible hernia from previous surgery. This can be resolved at the time of tummy tuck. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Lump after surgery Dear Michelle125, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.
