Lip filler - I think they are already migrating. Should I look into getting them dissolved? (Photo)

I had my lips done recently and I think they’re already migrating. I feel a hard lump underneath my top lip that feels as if filler is balled up there. I’m very unhappy with these. I had the Russian technique done, and it hurt SO bad. I had 1 full syringe in mainly the top lip. I’ve contacted who did it and they said it’s normal and I need to wait a while. I don’t feel like this is normal, I feel so ugly. Should I look into possibly getting the dissolved? It’s been about a week. Plz help!!!

Hyaluronidase enzyme continues to be an excellent option for patients with fillers that need to be dissolved. Fillers can swell and migrate unpredictably, especially when a filler with a high-edema quotient is used in thin areas. Our office uses disciplined approaches to help patients with acute or chronic issues related to hyaluronic acid fillers. We begin by assessing for any tissue compromise and advocate early treatment to avoid complications with vascular occlusion. In chronic issues, it is important to gradually break up and dissolve filler so there is no further migration of loose filler substrate. Conservative staged dilution may also help avoid volume loss. If the filler is not dissolving, we may consider stronger concentrations or surgery.

Swelling/lumps are very normal. You always want to make sure you go to a licensed professional, especially when getting filler. I would give at least 2 weeks to see if the swelling subsides, though the "lumps" may remain. Getting filler dissolved is always an option!

Thank you for your question! From the bruising in your pictures, it appears you were treated with filler quite recently. It’s normal to experience swelling and minor lumps right after undergoing filler treatment, and it’s important to wait at least two weeks for the swelling to dissipate before you can fully assess your results. For now, it’s best to keep your head elevated to help minimize additional swelling, and use arnica to reduce bruising. After that window of time, it’s critical to book a follow-up appointment with your provider. This will allow them to examine your results and you to ask questions and share your concerns. From there, you’ll be able to determine whether or not dissolving your filler is the right course of action for your unique situation. Hope this helps!

I’m sorry you had to experience pain during such a simple procedure. Because you have so much bruising around the lip tells me that you had the procedure done within days. You really need to give yourself at least two weeks if you have bruising. Fillers do not migrate in the lips if the procedure is done correctly.. I think you need to relax and simply give yourself a little time for the final result. Applying moist, warm compresses a few times daily will help in resolution of bruising. I hope the soaps and would like from New York City plastic surgery
