Lip filler in 2019 - do my lips look uneven & migrating? (Photos)

Hyaluronidase enzyme continues to be an excellent option for patients with fillers that need to be dissolved. Fillers can swell and migrate unpredictably, especially when a filler with a high-edema quotient is used in thin areas. Our office uses disciplined approaches to help patients with acute or chronic issues related to hyaluronic acid fillers. We begin by assessing for any tissue compromise and advocate early treatment to avoid complications with vascular occlusion. In chronic issues, it is important to gradually break up and dissolve filler so there is no further migration of loose filler substrate. Conservative staged dilution may also help avoid volume loss. If the filler is not dissolving, we may consider stronger concentrations or surgery.

Thank you for sharing your question and posting your photo. Since your lips are still quite full, your should consider dissolving the product and starting from scratch. My concern is that by adding more filler your lips will appear too big. See an experienced injector for consultation and proper guidance. Good luck!

I perform a lot of lip injections with fillers such as juvederm and it works great. Many times I need to put more in one side than the other to attempt to even out the vermillion border (The red line of the lip). This helps provide more symmetry at times.For patients looking for a more long lasting result, I recommend fat grafting. That is, using your own bodies fat to make your lips naturally look more shapely. The bonus is that the results last many many years.
In general, I avoid using permanent prosthesis becausee I find that the lips are such dynamic and sensitive structures, the end result is not natural.
