Question

My right arm is completely burned the first picture I attached was a the day after treatment and the second picture is a week after the treatment will this lead to scars ? Did something go wrong??

Thank you for your question in regards to Exilis. It is not very common to see such burns from Exilis treatments. It appears that proper contact was not held during your treatments resulting in the appearance of your burns. It is important that you see an experienced provider who has sufficient experience with Exilis treatments. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

Hi , Sorry that you have developed this. Exilis is a very subtle treatment for skin tightening. Skin burning after the treatment shows the wrong setting and technique and/or there is no proper probe contact to the skin. Make sure your doctor supervises the whole session and you can also alert the service provider when the warmth is unbearable. Kindly use a good emollient and good  sunscreen to avoid worsening. Hello there,
          I would recommend discussing this in detail with your provider. The amount of burns is very concerning to me. I have seen random and occasional burns with Exilis, but NEVER  this quantity. I am very sorry that this happened to you. I would make sure you are covering the injured areas with occlusive ointment such as bacitracin, aquaphor, or Cicalfate to decrease the risk of scarring. Keeping them moist will definitely help the healing process. This is most likely due to a lack of proper contact with the skin. Exilis should NEVER be painful. Good luck to you.
