I ended up immobile for around 4 months after a long hospitalization. Muscle tone was lost and I gained so much fat. I've been steady in a caloric deficit. I've hit a plateau and it's really because of my struggle to see the weight I am losing. The loose bits all over are depressing. I've also lost so many cup sizes. I just want to feel and look sexy again. I'm only 28 and my 20's have been spent with my mom bod. I want to be beach ready and not feel so insecure.
Answer: Plastic surgery after major weight loss Congratulations on your impressive weight loss! To address the lower body you can consider a tummy tuck with liposuction. This would remove excess fat and skin as well as correct abdominal wall laxity. The result is a flatter, tighter tummy. For the breasts you can consider breast augmentation. This would bring back the fullness and volume you've lost. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

Answer: A combination of ultherapy and morpheus 8 can help tighten up loose skin Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Cosmetic surgery after weight loss Hi and welcome to our forum! From your photos, your weight loss has been remarkable. I note residual localized suprapubic fullness and a hanging abdominal pannus as well as minimal fullness of hips, flanks, and inner thighs. You may wish to consider a tummy tuck and liposuction of hips, flanks, and inner thighs. As you note a reduction of breast size, a breast augmentation may also be considered. Visit a board certified plastic surgeon for evaluation and discussion. Best wishes...

Answer: Procedure Recommendation Hello, Thank you for your question. This is Dr. James Fernau from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In your case, I would recommend a lipoabdominoplasty (tummy tuck). In cases when major skin tightening and body contouring is needed, an extended tummy tuck is recommended. This is a necessary technique for patients who have undergone a significant weight loss. It was developed after some patients noted that even after a full tummy tuck, the parts surrounding the abdomen still showed excessive folds of skin. The incision may extend around the navel, flank, and lower back depending on where skin tightening is necessary. Liposuction is still used and excess skin is trimmed then tightened. Similar to a full tummy tuck, the belly button is repositioned. I recommend a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon to determine the best plan for your desired results. Best of wishes. Sincerely, James Fernau, MD FACS
