Delivering consistent quality, liposuction results is more difficult than most people realize. Being skilled at the procedure does not only include the ability to technically execute the operation correctly but also the ability to make accurate assessments and accurately predict what results will look like. As efficiently, talented and experienced surgeon should be able to make an accurate assessment, then show sufficient numbers of before, and after pictures of previous patients to communicate clearly what each individual patients results are likely to look like. They should be ideally no guessing, and Liposuction outcomes.
In reality, this is far from reality. The number of plastic surgeons of truly mastered Liposuction is in a small minority. Liposuction results have more variation in outcome based on who does the procedure than any other plastic surgery operation I’ve ever seen.

If you don’t have before, and after pictures and ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took. They are part of your medical record and available to you upon request. Consider reposting with proper before and after pictures or consider getting a second opinion consultation.
During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures of previous patients with similar body characteristics to your owner. Experience provider should have no difficulty showing you the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. Considering how much variation there is a Liposuction skill and experience among board-certified plastic surgeons, patients should consider having as many consultations as possible to help find the best provider. There’s no correct number of consultations needed to find the right provider. I generally recommend patients consider having five consultations before considering scheduling, permanent irreversible body contouring procedures.
Secondary liposuction is far more difficult than primary procedures. Revision work is far more unpredictable, and has less potential of forgiving quality outcomes than primary Liposuction.
Fullness of your belly button may represent the skin laxity for which there is no good treatment other than skin excision. There are treatment options, available like Renuvion and bodytite, though in my opinion, these procedures do not represent good value, and for the most part leave patients disappointed.
In the end, understanding your candidacy for surgery, and choosing the right provider are the two most important variables. Focus your efforts on those two variables, since they are the ones that are the foundation of long-term with patient satisfaction after cosmetic surgical procedures.
