Small horizontal lines between eyes. Is this fixable with Botox? (Photo)

Question

Hi. I have many smaller horizontal lines between my eyes. When i look fir solutions, i only really see 11s. I dont see these types of lines anywhere. Are they fixable with botox? Is this a dangerous area to get fixed? Thank you in advance and taking the time to answer.

Injecting neurotoxin such as Botox is a great way to improve fine lines and soften the muscles in the glabellar complex with minimal adverse effects. Neuromodulators (such as Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Jeuveau) and soft tissue fillers like Belotero can improve the appearance of the forehead by reducing lines, wrinkles and folds. Deeper lines and wrinkles need a combination approach with Botox, fillers, lasers, and microneedling/PRP. I have been injecting Botox in the glabella region for aesthetic reasons since 1991. Botox works best for dynamic "eleven" lines, as you quite correctly note in your question. For "static" fine, horizontal lines the use of a low viscosity, malleable, cohesive HA filler to elevate and smooth them is preferable. When it comes to fillers, this region, however, should not be left to the hands of a novice, inexperienced injector accustomed to injecting plain Juvederm or simple Restylane in ordinary smile lines. You would be wise to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist injector in whose hands, treatment should not take more than about five minutes with immediate results. Hi, thank you for your question! Botox can be used to treat these lines directly. Botox can be focused more to the bridge of the nose to help with the horizontal lines. This area is safe for botox to be injected.

This horizontal line may improve if you inject Botox into the Procerus muscle. The action of the procerus muscle is the depress the medial angle of the eyebrows, which may present a horizontal line (as pictured) along the nasal bone. I recommend around ~5units. Being consistent with botox (every 3-4 month injections) will eventually help soften this line, and at the very least prevent it from getting deeper.
You should consider injection the entire glabellar complex (Procerus and bilateral Depressor Supercilli/ Corrugators) as a whole for maximum results.

The horizontal line you’re referring to is part of the frown. You can prevent it with the use of Botox, but if it doesn’t go away after a month of having had Botox, you may want to consider fractional CO2 laser for smoothing this area out.
