I'm a 55 year old who had previous liposuction on my knees and thighs. I am thrilled with the new shape but my skin hasn't recovered well. What type of lift or procedure is the best for this area of looseness? The looseness is allover the thighs but mostly above the knees. I'm not looking for small improvement, if I do another surgery, I'm looking for a tight result.

We had few patients with similar problem in the past; two of them had direct skin excision with a scar placed in the crease above the knee. It is visible scar and that is a major drawback. Thigh lift will not eradicate this problem. Other option is to use skin thightening devices based on "J plasma" or rediofrequency? Hope this helps.

Thank you for your details and images. After liposuction, skin may not always tighten as desired, especially in the thigh area.
For your specific concerns:
1.) Horseshoe Knee Lift: An upside-down horseshoe incision around the kneecap allows removal of excess skin and fat. This:
Takes about 3 hours under anesthesia.
Requires a 7-10 day recovery with a drain.
Offers the most noticeable results.
2.) Inner Knee Incision: An incision along the inner knee might be considered if you're concerned about scarring. It offers some tightening but less than the horseshoe method.

Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

Excision can effectively remove the excess skin above the knees.  The scar placed above the knee will be visible.  Non-surgical skin tightening devices can tighten the skin but have limited effect in areas where there is significant skin laxity.
