I have lost 25 lbs over the last year. I had a gastric sleeve surgery in 2020 that resulted in a hematoma that was not drained. I also had a large fibroid removed from my ovary a year ago. I now have a flat stomach but tons of lumps and bumps. What is the best procedure for smoothing these out so that I am comfortable showing my stomach? I'm 53 yrs old, 5'4, 130 lbs.
Answer: Procedure for lumps and bumps Thank you for your inquiry! An in-person consultation would allow me to determine what would be your best option. We love to meet with you to discuss your concerns. Schedule a consultation with a Board-Certified Plastic Surgery to help you reach your goals.

Answer: VASER Liposuction for Smoothing Lumps and Bum Hello Jaspsadie02. Thank you for your question regarding the best procedure to smooth out the lumps and bumps on your abdomen. Based on your history and pictures, most plastic surgeons would recommend VASER abdominal liposuction to address these issues. Whether the lumps and bumps are a result of the hematoma or previous liposuction, VASER liposuction is an excellent technique for removing irregularities and achieving a smoother contour. VASER liposuction uses ultrasound technology to break up and emulsify fat, allowing for more precise removal and better skin retraction compared to traditional liposuction. This method is effective in targeting the lumps and bumps and providing a more even and aesthetically pleasing result. The procedure can be performed under local, twilight, or general anesthesia, depending on your preference and the surgeon's recommendation. I suggest consulting with several board-certified plastic surgeons to get their professional opinions and establish the best course of action for your specific situation. However, I recommend doing it under general anesthesia to get optimal results and have minimal pain. Good luck, and I hope you achieve the smooth and contoured abdomen you desire. Sincerely, J. Answer: Abdomen I answered this question previously. You might consider a mini tuck for the lower abdomen, and then Sculptra injections to help in the residual dents once healed.

Answer: Which procedure? An in person evaluation is best but from the photos it appears a tummy tuck would be the best option to smooth out the contour irregularities. It doesn't appear there is much skin laxity, so a vertical incision may be needed. I encourage you to visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you.

Answer: Abdominal contour irregularities The photos provided, especially the close up one, show contour irregularities that look suspiciously like those from liposuction. Also seen is a low transverse scar that looks like a tummy tuck. Are we missing some information? All you mention is fibroids and gastric sleeve.
