Pink skin scar from cold sore - what treatment will help? (photos)

I had a cold sore about a month ago. The cold sore scab went away after a week. When the scab fell off the skin underneath the scab was all pink. The skin has remained pink for almost three weeks now. Any treatments I can use to get rid of the pink skin?
