Can you help with ingrown hair bumps/scars around belly button? (Photo)

Hi! So I’m 22 and years ago I used to shave my stomach hairs and as a result of picking and improper shaving I guess, it’s created these little bumps/pockets and they’ve been there for over a year. I’m exfoliating them, I recently started using topicals faded on it, and also currently have a VI chemical peel on it as well to see if it would help but any other advice would be extremely appreciated and needed! I want them gone. like, what even is this?
