Hello! A cobra deformity occurs when the platysma isn't addressed correctly in addition to improper tension during closure. This can lead to banding and odd appearance of the neck. If done properly, the neck shouldn't appear wider. It should be refined with improvement especially on profile view. The deep plane lift addresses the deeper layers so that the skin is repositioned naturally. The results look quite nice. Hope this helps.
I agree a revision would help. It appears the platysmaplasty was a bit aggressive and too tight. It can be redone but would require a second facelift
