What's the optimal time between Morpheus8 treatments?

In your opinion, what's the optimal time between Morpheus8 treatments if you're doing 3 treatments? I'm generally seeing 4-8 weeks, wondering if there's any benefit to either for best results. 38 y/o female, hoping to tighten some mild skin laxity and address texture/contour issues. I had my first treatment 3 weeks ago and it seemed pretty mild. Should I wait longer for noticeable results or do I need more aggressive treatment next time? Thanks!

Thank you for your question!  It is recommended you wait 4 weeks in between treatments to give your skin time to heal.  Sometimes a patient might not be available in the 4 week window and has to push their appointment out 5-6 weeks.  There is really no benefit to doing them closer together or farther apart, but you do need to wait 4 weeks for ample healing time.  I’m happy to hear that your first treatment felt mild!  That is great!  What we can’t assess is how your skin looks on the inside, and chances are, it needs to heal.  Also, keep in mind, the Morpheus settings start on the lower side and generally increase with each treatment.  Good luck with your treatments!

Hi! Thank you for your question regarding optimal time between Morpheus 8 treatments. I typically recommend 4-6 weeks between treatments. I would not suggest waiting longer than 8 weeks. You will really begin to notice results about 2-3 months after your third treatment. It takes time for the collagen to build, so that is really when you would see optimal results!

Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

With the 4 weeks apart, Morpheus will tighten the skin laxity and address your texture and contour issues. Full results are within 6 months of your last treatment. You do not need to wait longer in between treatments and for each treatment you should be going more aggressive. After the 6 months you can also book another Morpheus8 to further results. optimal treatment time between treatments on the same area of the body is every four weeks.  That way you are allowing for time to assess results without overtaxing the skin.

I recommend spacing M8 treatments every 4 weeks.  The number of sessions we start out with depends on the patient.  I typically do build on my settings as I see how the patient's skin tolerates and reacts to the treatments.  It does take a few months to see the results.  As long as you're going to a provider that is comfortable and well trained in using the device you should have good results.
