It does create micro-injury to the skin which, in turn, produces collagen to tighten skin. It also has the potential for adipose tissue remodeling. When healing, your skin can get dry and itchy. It is important to remember not to scratch or pick at it so you do not develop scars. If you do develop scars, your provider could tell you other treatments they offer to reduce the appearance.
