Why is my nose getting bigger 1 year after rhinoplasty? What can be done?

Hi there! Sorry that you're experiencing trouble. It could be for a number of reasons, but there are options. Steroid injections in African American noses are critical. I often inject every 3-6 weeks until I see stability of the skin. In addition, my patients will tape and perform compressions to help the skin contract over time. It's very important to create "stretching" of the skin with strong cartilage grafts via structure rhinoplasty. I would suggest revisiting with your surgeon, if you're comfortable, to see what may be the best course of action. Hope this is helpful!
