Motiva Preserve - Really All That Different From Existing Methods?
Surgeons, what are your thoughts on whether Motiva Preserve is a true advancement in breast augmentation? Is it really all that different from existing methods for placing an implant sub-glandularly? Surgeons already have plenty of blunt dissecting tools available to them to create a pocket without much damage, especially in the subglandular plane, where there aren't so many blood vessels. And use of the Ergonomix implant should already allow for a smaller incision. My understanding is that the Preserve method avoids complete dissection of the circummammary ligament and doesn’t involve any cutting of the Cooper’s ligaments. Is this possible to do with existing methods that do not involve the use of Motiva’s specific tools?
