I am currently losing body fat and would like to know if it is ok to continue losing weight before I get a breast lift. I’m scared the more weight loss and more droopyness on my breast will affect my results, I just want the best results as possible.
Answer: Implants Loose all the weight you want to first, and then have the breast lift and augmentation. More weight loss may give more loose skin.

Answer: Will losing body fat before a Breast Lift with implants affect my results? It is a good idea to wait for your breast lift until you’re at a stable weight. Losing and gaining weight can undo your breast lift results. A breast lift would reshape the tissue with skin tightening. The goal of the breast lift procedure is to restore a woman’s perky natural contours with minimal post-surgical marks and through using state-of-the-art techniques. The board certified plastic surgeon you select should be so skilled at breast lifts that the smallest scar will be utilized to achieve optimal shape. An in-office examination by a board certified plastic surgeon would be necessary .

Answer: Losing Weight - Will it Affect Breast Implant Results? Thank you for your question regarding breast size and losing weight. Most of the female breast is composed of fat. When you lose weight you lose fat and you lose fat in the breast so further weight loss can lead to smaller breast. If you’re overly concerned about the size of your breast, do not continue to lose weight. However all in all I would suggest you should try to achieve an ideal bodyweight. Not knowing your current height and weight I cannot estimate your ideal body weight. However, with almost whatever weight you lose and whatever size and shape of your breast, usually the size can be corrected with an appropriate breast implant. All in all I would suggest you come down to a healthy weight and once this weight is achieved, I would then suggest you proceed with your breast augmentation and lift. I hope this helps answer your question. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen (“Verified” Plastic Surgeon, President of the American Society of Bariatric Plastic Surgeons, certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Fellow of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American College of Surgery, and International College of Surgery and member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and RealSelf Hall of Fame.)
