Interesting how it didn't seem to dissolve at all. Also interesting that it's totally in the wrong place! Does it seem as though it migrated while it was in there?

If I were to remove it, I would approach it from inside the nose, so there's no scar on the skin. I wouldn't have it removed with an incision right on top of the thing -- it'd look worse than leaving it there.

Removing it through the nose can be done as an isolated procedure, or at the same time as a rhinoplasty if you were to decide that you want to change your nose's appearance.

One of my patients had the Laterra Implants and were noticeable and also would get red on the nose from the material. I removed the scar tissue from the implant. I found it to be very similar to the Sculptra nodules that I have removed in several patients. It can be through a closed approach but be careful not to remove too much soft tissue around the implant (nodules) to avoid a depression on the nose.

Hello and thank you for your question. I have seen visible Latera implants like this many times before. This can be removed during a rhinoplasty. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
