I’m interested in getting Botox for my slight 11 lines. I understand Botox will be gone in 3 - 4 months. does Botox completely dissolve 100%? I don’t believe 100% will be all gone. If not, then wouldn’t there still be some leftovers being shifted to other areas of the forehead each time? I’m just wondering overtime if getting Botox 50 times for the glabellar area, wouldn’t the leftovers shift all over the entire forehead to the point where the forehead becomes bulging when I turn 60+?
Answer: Botox over time Hello! Great questions. The Botox should completely lose its efficacy after 3-4 months in the large proportion of patients. The Botox injected tends to stay fairly local and in most cases doesn't migrate, especially if the injection scheme is consistent. The forehead after a long period of time should not bulge. In fact, with consistent treatment, it should stay smooth and relaxed. The dosing may increase as over time, though. Hope this helps!

Answer: Botox Hi @saisaiso81! Botox typically wears off in 3-4 months in the majority of patients. Botox does not typically migrate especially if the injection pattern is consistent. The forehead should not bulge after several years. Routine Botox should help keep the desired area injected smooth and relaxed. I hope this was helpful!

Answer: Botox Botox is a medication that binds at the site that the nerve ending meets the muscle. When Botox is present, this interaction can't happen and the muscle can't contract as well, so that the lines that are present soften. Botox looses it's effectiveness in 3-4 months. In some people it can last up to 6 months. Botox can't accumulate over time and it won't affect muscles that aren't treated.

Answer: Glabellar Lines / 11s / Frown Lines -- Neuromodulators (Botox/Dysport/Xeomin/Jeuveau), Fillers, Lasers, Microneedling/PRP "For glabellar lines (or frown lines / ""11"" lines), we inject Botox, Xeomin, or Dysport into the muscle, causing the muscle to weaken and improving the appearance of the lines. These work by binding to receptors that send nerve signals for muscles to contract. Since your body makes new receptors and neurotransmitters all the time, it needs to be maintained otherwise the wrinkles will slowly return as the muscle regains function over time. Neurotoxins take 2 to 4 weeks to start working and lasts for up to 6 months. For deeper glabella lines or strong 11s, I use a combination of Botox with fillers, lasers and microneedling with PRP. I suggest getting a formal evaluation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist and expert in lasers and fillers. Best, Dr. Emer "

Answer: Botox Botox affects the muscle that is injected. The effects of the product wear off gradually typically over three to four months, but for some patients the effects may last a little longer. It is not permanent. It has been FDA approved for cosmetic use for 20 years and is considered safe. I encourage you to visit with an experienced injector to discuss your concerns.
