Does Aveli cause fibrosis or scar tissue on the muscle?

Hello. I am wondering if Aveli causes fibrosis or the development of scar tissue on the underlying muscle? I have read that lipo does so I would like to know if Aveli does as well. Thank you in advance.

HI vctexas.  Aveli actually treats cellulite on the subcutaneous, or fatty layer of the skin.  This is the layer where fibrous bands pull at the upper layers of skin to create the dimpling.  Aveli effectively cuts these bands, improving the appearence of cellulite.  So in the hands of a skilled provider, the Aveli device won't go deep enough to reach the muscle layer, therefore won't create any scar tissue in there.  I encourage you to seek out a board-certified plastic surgeon to see if you are a good candidate for the proceudure.  Best of luck!

Thanks for your question.  Aveli is a relatively new and effective option to treat cellulite. It has a unique hook that allows it to selectively target the fibrous bands that cause cellulite dimples. When used by a skilled surgeon, the Aveli handpiece glides to the targeted bands and will not affect the muscle or the most superficial layers of the skin.  This is in our experience the most effective treatment for many types of cellulite.

Great question! Aveli procedure that corrects cellulite by dividing the ligaments that are holding the skin down. These are the skin indentation to lead into a much improved contour. The procedure itself is performed very superficially, immediately under the dermis (deeper layer of the skin). This is not anywhere near the muscles, I could show any scoring in the muscle at all.

Thank you for posting your question here ! Aveli works using subscision , essentially cutting the cellulite bands under the skin , which is different to how liposuction works. It also acts on an area that is more superficial so it is unlikely to develop fibrosis from an Aveli treatment.I hope this helps, best of luck!
