I would like have a shorter, more feminine chin. I also want the cut from under the chin if that’s necessary and not from inside the mouth. Would that be possible?

Yes, an incision from beneath the chin would allow a shaving procedure to reduce the projection of the chin and improve symmetry and balance. The procedure is performed with intravenous sedation anesthesia.

Yes, that can be done. A side view photo without smiling is more helpful to determine the best approach, but, certainly it is possible to do this.  I do a lot of chin and jaw surgery. Going under the chin is less common than through the mouth, but can be done if that is your preference.  And, it is actually the preferred approach if there is a meaningful amount of soft tissue excess at the chin.

To start with we usually make assessments on patients without facial expression.
Smiling can alter what the baseline facial features look like.
We also generally need to see a frontal and profile picture.
Reducing the vertical projection of your chin is possible.
This can be done by either plastic surgeons or oral surgeons who have experience with the procedure.
Reducing the chin is a fairly involved procedure.It’s really important that you find providers who have experience doing this. 
Consider consulting with both plastic surgeons and oral surgeons in your community.
As providers to open up their portfolio of before, and after pictures to show you previous, patient underwent the same procedure.It’s probably better to go with the surgical approach that the surgeon is comfortable with.
I’m going to guess an intra-oral approach will be the preferred method.
my best guess is that oral surgeons may have more experience with these procedures.
