I'm having a beard transplant in april, but I've been bleaching my hair, including the donor area due to my job, I was wondering if it was safe to do it or it my damage the follicles, thank you so much

Yes, it is safe to color and bleach the hair 2 months before your surgery. However after your surgery you should at least wait for 3 months.

It is best to contact your doctor about post operative care and instructions since each doctor has a different regimen.You can color your hair few weeks after surgery.

Yes you are safe to bleach your hair before a hair transplant. However after the hair transplant you should wait 8 weeks before bleaching again. When in doubt always consult with your surgeon and make sure to go over the pre-op and post-op instructions they give you.

You should be safe bleaching the donor site two months before your transplant. That being said, you should ask the person doing the transplant for exact guidelines for care before and after the procedure... as your transplant surgeon should be the one directing all aspects of your care. You are safe to bleach your hair right up to the day of surgery and can bleach it again as soon as 3 weeks after the procedure with no concerns.

You can bleach your hair up to the day befrore your have the transplant and then wait until all of the crusts are off, then add a week and go for it again if you want
