Question

Last year I went from 34" to 26.5" around my waist jut by better habits alone. Happy, but hate this loose skin that doesn't seem to be improving. Considering an upper abdomen skin lift after looking into MedSpa treatments that I doubt will get the results I want. Am I a good candidate for a skin only lift? I'm 47. Thanks.

Your problem seems to be not just loose skin, but also the quality of the skin has become damaged with either sun exposure or other contributing factors. Note that you don’t just have a loose skin fold but there’s actually crepiness that has developed. You could consider a surgical tuck but it will not get rid of the crepey skin. I would highly recommend 3 to 6 strong micro needling RF treatments with either the Morpheus8 or the Sylfirm. I would place topical exosomes immediately after the treatment. 
I would also highly recommend the same good skin care you use on your face to be used on your abdomen with small daily exfoliating or even retinols ever so often if you can tolerate them.

Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

For patients with isolated excess skin the upper abdomen, sometimes a reverse abdominoplasty is actually a good option, especially in patients who already have incisions under the breast from prior surgery. Using those old incisions can result in a modest improvement, but if you connect those incisions across the sternum you can actually have a fairly significant improvement in the tightness of the upper abdominal skin.
