I met with Dr. Hall in early September and told him my goal was to be “snatched”. He is newer to the area, so it was challenging to find any reviews or results from surgeries he’s performed. However - after meeting with him I was confident that he would be able to help me get the results I was looking for. We decided an extended tummy tuck, liposuction of flanks and axilla, breast lift, and breast augmentation. I really appreciated his involvement from day 1, his explanation everything he will do and the “why” of the benefits of the procedures, and his personal calls before and after surgery. I’m posting my review early so others are able to see how amazing his results are from just getting off the “table”. I can’t wait to see the changes to come over time as I continue to heal.
My experience with Dr. Bradley Hall was nothing short of amazing. My journey with plastic surgery was long and difficult. I had previously been evaluated by another surgeon for a breast augmentation to which I was informed that I was too overweight and would have to lose enough weight to undergo surgery safely. I did the work and lost the weight which only caused additional skin insecurities. Fast forward to 2023 when I met Dr. Hall for my consultation. He was very supportive and reassuring. He approved me for plastic surgery! I would have a complete mommy makeover after all my hard work and weight loss. I went in for surgery in September of 2023. While waiting in pre-op, I found out that I was expecting another child which was very surprising to me. Dr. Hall was again very supportive and reassuring. He hugged me while I cried and assured me that everything would work out. Fast forward a few more months into late 2023. I miscarried at nearly 13 weeks. After my D&C, I called Dr. Hall’s office to once again get scheduled for plastic surgery as I knew my intentions were not to have any more children. Dr. Hall called me into the office for a final consult to ensure that I was mentally and physically fit to undergo surgery after such a hard life event. Dr. Hall was once again very supportive and reassuring. He approved me for surgery again a SECOND time. Finally, Dr. Hall performed a full mommy makeover on me. Tummy tuck, liposuction, breast lift, and breast augmentation. He was very available to answer any questions or address any concerns I had. I am so glad to have gotten to experience plastic surgery with Dr. Hall and I am in love with my results. I couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon. Dr. Hall-thank you for all you do!
For patients with isolated excess skin the upper abdomen, sometimes a reverse abdominoplasty is actually a good option, especially in patients who already have incisions under the breast from prior surgery. Using those old incisions can result in a modest improvement, but if you connect those incisions across the sternum you can actually have a fairly significant improvement in the tightness of the upper abdominal skin.
This is a very common problem that I see with patients. From what I can see, I think it's likely that you have excess skin and fat in that region that would be best treated with an abdominoplasty. More non invasive options I not think will sufficiently treat that area as the skin has already been stretched from pregnancy and I don't think the area would contract sufficiently with those options. Those options would also not remove any of the stretch marks. The advantages to having a abdominoplasty in your situation are that they muscles can be repaired below and above the belly button, and excess skin can be removed all with a well concealed incision that shouldn't be visible in clothing. If you were to try non invasive options I think it would honestly probably cost more in the end given multiple attempts at it and you may not be happy with one treatment and try multiple treatments that would cost more than a mini abdominoplasty and still wouldn't give you as good of a result. Depending on the laxity of your skin, most or all of the stretch marks below the belly button may be able to be removed and this would significantly improve the contour of your abdomen. In some situations this may require a small vertical incision that is still hid by your clothing, but would be a great option for you
From the pictures you have send I can see the excess skin you are talking about on your side. If you were wanting a breast lift, the incision from that surgery can be extended on to the side of the trunk to treat the excess skin of that area. In some situations, patient who are also have a brachioplasty (arm lift) can do both at the same time, but this requires connecting those incisions, so it is a tradeoff, improved contour for scars. I can't tell if you have enough tissue on the arms to justify a full brachioplasty but using body tite or energy to contract the tissue and shrink it may be beneficial in your situation.
This is a very common problem we are seeing now with everybody losing weight from either weight loss surgery, medications, or life changes. Patients who have lost a lot of weight tend to have excess skin in several areas, in your situation that includes the leg and abdomen as you have noted, but the back and buttock may also be involved as well. I bring that up because an extended abdominoplasty or a circumferential body lift may also address some of the outer upper thigh laxity and the abdominoplasty component would adequately treat the front of your abdomen. The thighs may be amenable to a vertical incisions thighplasty, where excess skin is removed from the thigh to remove redundant skin. This involves making an incision along the inner side of the leg. I would not necessarily recommend having those surgeries performed together though just because they are competing forces on the skin near the incision and may lead to unnecessary wound after surgery. But if your arms or breasts were areas that were concerning you, those may be able to be addressed at the surgery for your trunk.
