Will ultherapy prevent pregnancy?

Do you think getting ultherapy will impede conception? I am doing ivf and I have 5 weeks in between oocyte removal and embryo transfer and thought this would be a great time to do ultherapy, especially with the peak in hormones that come with pregnancy. However, I am curious if the body will interpret the ultherapy as trauma and not allow pregnancy to happen.

Thank you for your question, A combination approach would give the most improvement with Ultherapy for neck skin tightening. I recommend Ultherapy with radiofrequency treatments, lasers, microneedling/PRP, and/or Sculptra to get increased collagen, tightening and improved skin tone. Hi Thatonegirl,Ultherapy should not impede conception with ivf.  Ultherapy does create micro-controlled burns of tissue below the surface of the skin which results in lifting and tightening.  There have not been any studies on Ultherapy and IVF.  If you wish to be on the safe side then you should wait until after your pregnancy to have Ultherapy.  Good luck with you IVF.Dr. P

Unless Ultherapy is applied directly to the pelvic area, it can’t prevent pregnancy. It should be completely safe. Consult your doctor to know more about this procedure.
