How long should I wait after Ultherapy to do a surface treatment for the skin (chemical peel or laser)?

There is really no way to answer this question other than to say it depends. I would need to know the precise settings for your Ultherapy treatment and the specific procedure you would like to do as a follow up. Superficial chemical or laser peels can usually be performed within a couple of weeks after Ultherapy. Deeper treatments will likely need to wait longer. There is no one way to answer your question correctly. It depends on the parameters used with Ultherapy and the type of laser and chemical peel.  I avoid doing fractional or non fractional ablative lasers such as Carbon Dioxide laser resurfacing and medium depth chemical peels at the same time of Ultherapy especially  if I utilize the 1.5mm. transducer when doing Ultherapy as this can induce some temporary welts. Unless you were treated with a superficial applicator you could do it as soon as 1-2 weeks after your treatment. Please contact a qualified provider or a board-certified physician with extensive experience in these procedures.

Since Ultherapy is not a treatment that breaks the skin, we typically would recommend waiting at least a week for any initial swelling to subside and then you should be totally fine to do laser treatments or peels.
