Hi. I just had Sculptra a week ago and I’m planning to get Ultherapy in the next few weeks. Is it ok for me to do it after two weeks of Sculptra injection ? Any side effect ?
Answer: Ultherapy is safe to have after Sculptra injections I appreciate your concern. However, Ultherapy is completely safe to have two weeks after Sculptra injections. The Sculptra is injected deep into the dermal layers to stimulate collagen production, while Ultherapy works on the more superficial layers to constrict tissue and boost collagen levels. The two procedures are complementary and can even be performed at the same time if you prefer.

Answer: Ultherapy and Sculptra are often done safely I prefer to do ultherapy first then follow it by the series of fillers or Sculptra. Although sculptra is placed in the subcutaneous tissues it is possible that Ultherapy may reach that plane in certain areas of the face, especially with the 4.5 mm. transducer, and I question if the Ultherapy does heat up the sculptra particles if that might cause an undesired reaction. So if I were to do Ultherapy after Sculptra I would choose transducers that were expected not to reach the depth of the Sculptra placement. The information provided in Dr. Shelton's answer is for educational purposes only and is not intended to constitute medical advice. Answer: Ultherapy after Sculptra Injections Hello and thank you for your question. There should not be any reason why you can’t have an Ultherapy treatment after Sculptra injections. Sculptra is injected deeply into the dermal tissue, where it works by stimulating collagen production. Ultherapy delivers ultrasound energy to constrict tissue and promote collagen production. It doesn’t work as deeply as Sculptra. This combination approach should give you positive improvement within weeks after your initial treatment and for up to two years afterward. Make sure you are working with a board-certified dermatologist who is experienced in both these procedures to ensure an optimal outcome.
