Asked before but a doctor recently told me verbatim that for an otoplasty (ear pinning): "final results may be seen in 6 to 12 months as the swelling subsides. Sports can be done in 1 months. Hard pulling of ears I suggest after 6 months but you may lie down on it already after or do your regular bathing". This differs with other surgeons who have said that total down time with final results are tops five months. Are all standard otoplasty procedures the same? Thank you in advance!
