If you are doing something in particular that is causing the swelling, then it is too much for you at this time. Each person heals differently. Listen to your body. Swelling can last 6 months or more.
Bloating of the abdomen is produced by swelling inside your body, usually your intestines. It has nothing to do with liposuction and liposuction does not affect bloating. If you mean swelling on the surface instead of bloating, then you can expect the swelling to improve for months after your procedure. Wearing a compression garment and going for professional massages will help this to resolve faster.
Swelling can fluctuate for 3-6 months sometimes longer after smart lipo. I have most of my patients do a series of velashape treatments post procedure to make this swelling decrease faster, as well as use some holistic supplements and sometimes oral diuretics. This helps the skin tighten and the results of the laser improve, with swelling decrease faster. I suggest going to a physician with experience in using these noninvasive and alternative options to speed up your healing process. Best, Dr. Emer.
After your Smartlipo procedure you may beslightly swollen for a few weeks. It is best to wear your compression garmentto help with any swelling that may occur. Follow up with your surgeon to makesure you are healing properly. Good luck in your recovery.
At two months post-operatively, you will still have some swelling. It can take several months for all the swelling to dissipate. During this healing time, it is common to have fluctuations in swelling and "bloating". This can be related to activity, sodium intake, hormones, medications, etc. With time, these fluctuations do subside. Thanks for the question.
Over time, the stomach should start to look flat and stay that way. If it is bloating, then I would suggest making an appointment with the doctor who performed the treatment. They may find nothing wrong, then you need to continue to work out and exercise and build those muscles to make the treatment look its best. They may also suggest an RF tightening treatment or two to increase the skin tightening in the treated area. And if there is something wrong, we need that addressed as well. So make an appointment and have it checked out.
It is common for your weight to be a bit more or the same after a liposuction procedure due to swelling and fluid retention. It can easily take 3-6 months to see results. When you go back to your doctor you should be able to find out exactly how much fat was removed from the area. Good luck! Dean Vistnes.
I would use something between your skin and the hooks to prevent them from causing indentations. It is not a good idea to create depressions in the skin this early after liposuction.
There are 2 types of factor V leiden mutation. One has a much higher risk of dangerous blood clots than the other, but they are both high risk for surgery. Your risk of life threatening blood clots is something you must live with, but surgery will elevate this risk whether you see a hematologist...
