Hello! I had my BBL 3 months ago and so far it didn't get smaller but and I'm happy about that but when can I finally sit ? Can I still harm my fat cells by sitting? And will my buttock get smaller at this stage? Thank you for your answers in advance
Answer: Can I sit? Thank you for your question Nonalisa. You certainly may sit. If you are going to be sitting for an extended length of time (4 or more hours), I would recommend shifting your position every hour. At this point, the transplanted fat cells should be completely revascularized. There may be a very small amount of change, otherwise what you see is what you should keep. Best of luck.

Answer: Sitting After BBL Hi Nonalisa, It sounds like you have been very compliant with your sitting protocol. Way to go! I usually tell my patients to avoid sitting for six weeks after surgery. At that point, the fat that will survive should have the blood supply that it needs to be permanent. Therefore, any change in your result after this point will likely be related to weight loss or weight gain. I would certainly check with your surgeon to make sure that he/she has no concerns as well. Sending you my best, and congratulations on your BBL success!

Answer: When can I sit after a BBL Hello dear, thanks for your post. You should avoid sitting on your buttock for about two weeks after a fat transfer to the buttock (Brazilian buttock lift). This will help prevent direct pressure on the delicate fat cells, which could cause them to atrophy and shrink. You can modify your sitting by using pillows/cushions which are placed under the back of your thighs, to take the weight off of your buttock area. You should also sleep on your stomach for the first few weeks. Positioning after this procedure is important if you want to have maximal results. Please discuss this issue further with your board certified plastic surgeon.Good luck :)

Answer: When can I sit after BBL? I am 3 months post op Wow, I am impressed that you have held out for a full 3 months! Did your surgeon tell you that you needed to avoid sitting for this long? You are well past the non-sitting stage. Every surgeon is different. I require 4 weeks of no sitting for my BBL patients, because anything longer than that starts to become unrealistic. At this point your fat has healed. You are likely looking at your overall results, with possible subtle changes over the next 6-9 months.Congratulations on a successful surgery!
