The recommended maximum amount of liposuction in an outpatient setting is 5 liters. This being said, we typically remove 3 liters or so and end up with transferring about 2 liters. You may have to repeat the procedure at a second procedure depending on how much of the fat gets good blood supply and remains. Good luck to you.
