What is the scarring like with brow bone reduction?

I am a 24 year old male with a very prominent brow bone. I am wondering with brown bone reduction how easy is it to cover up the scar and what type of incision is made into the scalp. I have a few more years before I go bald and am wondering if a procedure like laser scar removal followed by scalp micro pigmentation is sufficient enough to cover up and hide scarring left by brow bone reduction.

Brow bone reduction in the male. The scar initially won't show.  The incision is made in the existing hairline where. you have thick hair and if this area should become bald in  the future you will need hair transplants or the Fleming Mayer  flap for this. See a very experienced surgeon with these techniques.

contouring the bone can be done endoscopically with a Stryker mini burr.  There still needs to be an access incision but in the hair bearing temple area it will be concealed--unless you plan to shave your head--then any incision no matter how short or where placed will be visible.  While I have personally never done this through an upper eyelid incision there may be others who can--make sure you're not the trial patient!

The incision for brow bone reduction is hidden by hair when it is made in the hairline using the Irregular Tricophytic Hairline Incision technique that we described many years ago. However it is very important that you be examined and your family history of male pattern baldness reviewed because with significant alopecia later in life that incision can become exposed which would be problematic for a man who does not have enough donor for hair replacement surgery.
