Filler is commonly injected in front of the earlobe. Like anywhere in the face injecting requires knowledge of the anatomical structures in the area. If you go to an experienced, qualified provider you should have no problem.

I commonly inject filler in the lateral cheek and in front of the ear (we call this the preauricular cheek). Many people have volume loss and wrinkling in this area. Injections here need to be done superficially given the underlying structures including the parotid gland and blood vessels. See a filler expert for in person evaluation.
