Dear np888,every plastic surgeon has preoperative instructions which he recommends to his patients. Most plastic surgeons would not restrict you from drinking your healthy juice but to be sure I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Hello,There is nothing in that juice that is superior in providing your body health as whole fruits and vegetables. No one knows what's in the additives like the nettle oil, so it's safest to stop. Your health will not suffer. Best of luck!
The only ingredient I see to be a problem is ginger. I have a number of my own patients that love Kombucha drinks which are often mixed with ginger and have found an increased bleeding and bruising effect. I usually review this with my patients and have them stop any possible herbs that can thin the blood like ginger at least 2 weeks before surgery. Your surgeon may have their own list of herbs and supplements that should be avoided and you should check with them now to give yourself enough time to be off any herbs, vitamins or supplements that could effect the surgery.
You should discuss what medications, supplements, and vitamins you are taking, both prescription and over the counter, with your plastic surgeon and have him or her decide what you should and should not be taking. Your surgeon should be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). Dear np888, I would speak with your surgeons office and see what their pre-operative instructions are. Many herbs can cause bleeding and those would need to be reviewed. My anesthesiologist reviews all medications, herbs, or supplements the patients are on and determines whether they are to be continued or discontinued prior to surgery. Personally the pineapple, orange, ginger and lemon juices would be fine however better safe then sorry I would likely stop the other additives. Again your surgeon can advise you of his/her practices. Best regards, Michael V. Elam, M.D.
Talk to your prospective surgeon about what supplements they want you to discontinue prior to your surgery. Generally there shouldn't be an issue.
Injury to the nose can result in a varying degree of changes in the shape of the nose, all of which can be corrected. It is unusual to have any lasting change in the nose shape without breaking the nose bones.Your nose is slightly deviated to the left and your tip seems wider than ideal. The ...
There are several things that can be done to your nose to minimize the appearance of the pivot until it is fully healed. See your board certified plastic surgeon and get their opinion
Your before profile photo appears to show an obtuse nasolabial angle, and your tip does not appear overrotated. Your tip may drop a few millimeters as your swelling resolves, and your mild nostril asymmetry may resolve as well. Consider discussing your concerns with your surgeon for reassurance,...
After rhinoplasty you can expect the tip to be slightly elevated due to swelling assicated with the surgery. It can take several months or even a year for this swelling to resolve. The tip can be expected to drop a few millimeters during that time. Best Regards, Dr. Weiss
I agree with many of the other comments in that, yes, your nose is swollen and the changes that happen from the two week mark to the final result can be fairly significant. I think that some aspects of the "swoop" may eventually develop in the bridge into what you were expecting as the s...
