The Fraxel laser when used by a trained expert is one of the safest ways to resurface the skin, with the least risk for causing scarring. I am very sorry that this happened to you, and I hope this poor experience doesn't prevent you from having more laser treatments in the future. To correct the scarring you can have a Pixel Co2 laser treatment, and this can be in combination with an erbium laser to soften the edges to the scar. The recovery period is longer than the Fraxel but the results are terrific. I would recommend having a consult with a board certified cosmetic Dermatologist or Plastic surgeon. Best, Dr Papantoniou.

I find that those unhappy with lasers do best with intensif microneedling RF with erbium laser and PRP.  I suggest you see an expert.  You will need long term combination therapy -- peels, skin care, microneedling, sculptra injections -- to build collagen and repair your skin. Best, Dr. Emer.

Thank you for your question. I would treat your depressed scars with a dermal filler. My choice of filler for this would be Bellafill because it is a longer lasting filler. However, any hyaluronic acid filler will work to add to volume to your scars. I recommend seeing an expert to determine the best treatment plan for you.

A depressed scar needs volume. I would try filling with a filler. Bellafill is my choice because it is long lasting but any HA filler would work. Infini is an option too but would do before fillers. I think things could be significantly improved.
