Any way to regrow my eyebrows I lost from Intense Pulse Light (IPL)?

Lasers may cause permanent hair loss. Sometime it may not be permanent. Only time will tell. It can take several months.

I have all my patients who this has happened to (and has never happened in my office) use Latisse and Viviscal.  If they are resistant then I add in rogaine.  I suggest going to a well trained physician for your treatments in the future.  Best, Dr. Emer.

The thinning of eyebrow hairs can be due to several factors: medical, hormonal, aging and over-plucking to name a few of the potential causes.  After a thorough evaluation, you may be a candidate for an eyebrow hair transplantation.  In an eyebrow transplantation hairs are taken from the scalp and placed in the eyebrows.  They are a permanent solution to thinning eyebrows.     

Many laser and intense light treatments can irreversibly affect the growth of grafts.  I generally recommend my patients to wait at lease 6 months.  If there is not sign of growth at that time, they can plan for a surgical hair restoration as long as they have healthy skin and proper donor hair.  Eyebrow hair transplant can be very successful if done by the right surgeon.

I have seen this happen (I once did it to myself) and it has always grown back in 4-6 weeks.  Minoxidil and REvitaBRow can help speed the process.  Laser hair removal on a brow is more permanent, and THAT might require brow replacement surgery - but you should be okay.  Just give it a little time.Good luck!
