Hair loss due to spironolactone or IUD?

I started spironolactone about 3 weeks ago for hormonal acne. 2 weeks ago I got a Mirena IUD. I noticed 1 week later my hair started to feel much thinner. My doctor had assured my the IUD hormones only caused a localized effect and did not get into your bloodstream. It seems odd an IUD would cause this within 1 week. Is there a chance the hair loss could be from spiro? I might make an appointment to take the IUD out but is there a chance that spiro caused it? Thank you!!

Answer: Hormonal changes can cause hair loss but you need to address this with your OB/GYN doctor. IUD by itself is not always the prim
