Can I use modafinil and finasteride at the same time?

Hello I'm a shiftworker so i use the medicine modafinil, now lately i'm going bald, so my question is will there be a druginteraction when i use finasteride (1mg) and modafinil together?

There should be no drug interaction with modafinil and finasteride. If you are concerned always follow up with your doctor.

There are no drug interactions between modafinil and finasteride. When speaking about modafinil be sure to remind your health care providers that you are not talking about "minoxidil" a drug for hair loss with a similar sounding name. Unlike minoxidil, the drug modafinil does not help with hair loss.

Minoxidil and finasteride help hair loss by different mechanisms and can be used safely at the same time.  I typically start with one treatment, but if the hair loss progresses, I will add additional treatments as needed.  -Dr. Keaney
