Extracting 4 teeth will have no bearing on the profile. A chin implant can give added projection to the chin for a recessive chin profile. Chin implants are manufactured in a variety of sizes and shapes, are inserted under local anesthesia as an outpatient surgical procedure. You have a recessive chin which can be corrected with a chin implant but if you have dental issues you should be evaluated with cephalometric analysis to see if oral surgery in the context of orthodontic treatment is a better optionDr Corbin
You are an excellent candidate for chin augmentation. Your chin lacks the proper projection and chin augmentation surgery would bring your features into better harmony creating a more masculine profile. Unless you need your teeth removed for some dental problems you are having I would not suggest teeth removal. It will have no bearing on your chin and depending on the teeth removed may create other facial asymmetries later in life. Best regards, Michael V. Elam, M.D.
You have inadequate chin projection which will be corrected with a chin implant, whether or not you have dental surgery which will have no effect on your chin..
You did not state which teeth. If they are molars, you may consider it. But, if they are any other teeth, I say do not remove your teeth unless there is a real reason. As you age, your face will hollow and having 4 permanent teeth removed will accentuate that hollowness. You do need a chin implant. If you place your finger from your lip straight down, your chin should touch your finger. Yours is far back. A chin implant will balance the lower half of your face by projecting the chin forward.
Unless your teeth are growing into your lower lip, the simplest way your profile will be improved is by insertion of a properly chosen chin implant.
