I hate my nose and it makes me feel really insucure, I've said to my mom about surgery but she lectures me and has a go at me about how it's fine and says I'm gonna turn into a person who cares about them selves to much. She tries to make me feel down about bringing the subject up but I really feel insucure about it. Help?!
Answer: Crooked nose Your nose is deviated a bit to your right side. However if that is the only problem with it and it looks okay otherwise, I probably would not perform surgery. If your have something like a large hump on your nose which cannot be determined by the photos you submitted, a rhinoplasty might be worthwhile.

Answer: Nose crookedness/insecurity Hi there! I'm sorry you feel insecure about your nose, but from the photos it appears very normal. At the very least, it is nothing to feel bad about! Its very hard to make any comments on your nose with limited pictures but I think the "crookedness" you may be referring to is actually a little more roundness in the left mid-portion of the nose (the "middle vault") as compared to the right. This small asymmetry can cause the nose to appear unbalanced and crooked. If this is the case, it is fairly easy to fix with a small amount of filler in the office, or a small surgery in the operating room. Otherwise, you should feel good about how your nose looks! Hope this helps! Best, Dr. Cabin

Answer: Crooked nose? Need to see better photographs to determine whether your nose is crooked as described on my website and others. And in person examination and evaluation of your airway would be helpful. Your mother is probably wanting to protect you from a poor result so it is important to see a very experienced rhinoplasty surgeon who does natural looking noses.

Answer: Is my nose crooked to one side? A full set of facial photographs and an in-person examination are required to make a determination about a crooked nose repair. To straighten the crooked nose requires osteotomies placed in the nasal bones and a cartilage graft placed on the concave side, known as a spreader graft.
