Do I need to take x-rays before the surgery?

I have orbital rim implants & want to get rhino to make my nose narrower, break nasal bones and bring them closer together what if the implants are placed so close to the nasal bones? I always see the nose job bruises under the eyes and I wonder if my implants may make the bruising worse. I wanna know if the nasal bones can be broken with the implants intact

Orbital rim implants are usually quite lateral to where the bones are broken in rhinoplasty.  It would really be up to the surgeon if they want to get an X-ray, but if there is no metal hardware holding the implants in place, they may not even show up on the X-ray.  I would base my decision on physical exam to feel exactly where the implants are.

Thank you for the question! Your procedure can be accomplished without X-rays. In fact, compared to a CT scan, X-rays have a limited value in this case.  I'd recommend consulting your plastic surgeon since different surgeons may follow specific guidelines for performing the procedure.

No, a rhinoplasty procedure will have no bearing on the cheek implants. X-rays are not required. It  is certainly acceptable to undergo rhinoplasty with osteotomies to narrow the bridge line

It is very unlikely that x-rays will be necessary before a rhinoplasty. Knowing the type of implant and feeling them at the time of consultation will be enough to clarify your needs and reassure you.
