Typically I recommend patients to do a breast lift and 360 lipo on a wed/ Thursday and go back to work on Monday since the weekend will help save 2 days off from work but no more then a week off. You will be a bit sore and possibly moving a bit slower but the more you move around and re hydrate yourself the better you will feel. I would recommend a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to be evaluated to make sure you are a proper candidate for this procedure.
Your recovery will depend of your general fitness and health status, extent of liposuction (1l vs.5 liters) as well of length of surgery. Ten days to two weeks should be an average recovery time based on our experience. This topic needs to be discussed with your plastic surgeon in more details. Good luck.
Recovery varies from patient to patient. It sounds like your surgery is pretty involved. I would probably expect t you to be off work two weeks.
I usually tell my patients recovery time is from 4-6 weeks but every surgeon has different post op care instructions, always consult with a board certified PS.
Dear DiamondsDollsThe majority of breast lift and liposuction patients need one week of downtime. Depending on the work environment (heavy lifting, etc) more time off may be necessary. Patients are encouraged to walk immediately after surgery to avoid blood clots in the legs. I suggest that you follow your plastic surgeon’s post-operative instructions, especially on the level of activity that you can do and your scheduled follow up checkups, for faster and recovery.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
The breast lift has a longer incision recovery/healing time and this is especially true if you also have implants placed. Incisions in the breast take at least 3 weeks to be moderately healed and 6 weeks or more to be fully closed with a stable scar. Time out from work is usually 10 days or so for most patients in good health; patients with administrative or clerical/desk work can often return to work sooner, depending on when they stop using narcotic postop pain meds. Liposuction recovery is usually a few days of aching pain followed by several weeks of wearing the garment and having moderate bloating/swelling symptoms. It is not uncommon for lipo patients to return to work within a week, though they may be moving slowly and not able to bend/stoop very easily without pain.
To be safe, I tell my full-body surgery patients to plan on about 2 weeks of rest so they can have an easier and safer recovery. Some patients feel great by 10 days, but it can 2 weeks or longer for others. By 4 weeks, I expect patients to be back to their full routine including working out as long as there were no issues during their recovery. Hope this helps!Johnson C. You are still very early in the recovery stage and it is normal to be swollen for about 4 months, be patient they will settle and heal in time. Follow up with your PS to discuss your concerns.
With time and once you are healed, you will be allowed to critique your outcome and then decide if there are options for you to pursue in attempts to achieve symmetry. But you started out asymmetric and no surgeon promises perfect outcomes so you have to be careful of what you try to pursue as ...
Prices vary with every surgeon, an in person consultation would be best for a detailed exam and evaluation.always see a board certified PS.
