How long after a C-Section can someone get liposuction?

6 weeks after a c sec is an acceptable time to undergo another procedure such as liposuction of the thighs.

With regards to the recovery from the C-section, the important part is not the c-section rather,  the loss of the baby weight prior to the cosmetic body countering procedures is important. It takes 6 months for many women to lose their baby weight. I suggest you wait 6 months before reevaluating your body and seeking a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. If you are inquiring about liposuction of the thighs then you can do it anytime after a c-section because they are unrelated.

That is when gravidic imbibition is totally reabsorbed. Otherwise this swelling can interfere with the result of the surgery.

If your area of concern is only lower extremities, then there is really no need to wait any significant amount of time.If you wanted lower abdominal liposuction, then I suggest awaiting a minimum of six months.Without an examination, it is difficult to tell if you are a good candidate or not for inner thigh liposuction.It is common that patients' inner thigh skin will still touch after inner thigh liposuction, though the overall appearance and problems with skin contact may be improved. Best of luck,Mats Hagstrom, M.D.
