I had lipo today only to one area abdomen minimal fat collected total of 100cc, I asked my doctor to transfer if there was a good amount. Woke up and didn't have any transfer to buttocks could it be that it wasn't enough? Maybe draining the fluid from the lipo canister would have been a total of 50cc? With rarely any results?
Answer: Liposuction Results & After care includes RF treatments (Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra) Cellutone/zwave, hyperbaric oxygen This is difficult to answer without pictures or an in-person evaluation. This amount wouldn't make a big difference for body shaping. If you have any questions about your treatment, I recommend following up with your Doctor. Sculptra and/or implants can be used to shape the butt, if there isn't enough fat. You may have swelling after your procedure, which can last 3-6 months after your procedure. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. Answer: 100cc of liposuctioned fat Dear dollytarango, your surgeon did the good thing. A 100cc of fat wouldn't make any difference. For a BBL you would require a lot more fat. Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery

Answer: Liposuction and fat transfer Congratulations on your recent surgery. 100cc would not give you much of a shape change to your buttocks. And draining the fluid from the liposuction canister would not provide any usable fat. Only about half of the fat injected survives and probably not all of the fat would have been able to be injected. In general buttock augmentations require 500-800 cc of fat. And sometimes more. Good luck with your recovery!

Answer: Liposuction to abdomen and fat transfer; could 100cc be enough for a BBL? Congratulations on your liposuction procedure. The 100 cc of fat that was removed would have virtually no affect in attempting to enlarge the buttocks. The Brazilian butt lift would require much more fat.

Answer: Not enough fat to transfer Thanks for the great question and congratulations on your surgery! You're exactly correct that there was not enough fat to transfer. If there was 100cc in the canister, maybe 50cc of that could be used. Of the 50cc only 50-75% would survive. This only lease you with about 20cc of fat to transfer into each buttock. Common amounts for Brazilian butt lifts are anywhere from 400-2000cc of fat to each buttock. I hope you like the results from your liposuction and best of luck!~Dr. Sieber
