Post lipo I noticed that my legs looked odd, almost like a child's or an elderly lady's legs with no volume in my hips. When I lifted a leg, it'd be very obviously indented in the sides. Now my body does not look feminine, the skin has lost so much elasticity, and I have gained so much fat in my stomach area. I have been depressed ever since lipo. I can't date men any longer as no one finds my lower body attractive. Is there a muscle I can exercise for this dent in the sides of my legs? Pls help
Answer: Fat transfer results--water-assisted harvesting, prp, sculptra Yes, fat transfer may improve this. Keep in mind, fat transfer technique is important for successful fat transfer. I recommend water-assisted fat harvesting which gives pure fat to transfer and combine with platelet rich plasma (PRP) to get the most viable and sustainable fat cells. I combine with Sculptra to improve final results. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Too much fat removed after lipo Hi and thanks for the question. From the photos provided, it seems likely had too much fat removed. Fat transfer is a reasonable option. I suggest harvesting the fat from the torso ( abdomen and back ) to optimize your upper body contour. The manner in which the fat is harvested is key in optimizing results. I recommend a Vaser-assisted lipoplasty with PureGraft fat purification technique. Additionally, a cell-assisted approach would maximize the amount of fat that "takes".Best of luck,Doctor Vallecillos, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Too much fat removed with liposuction from sides of legs It appears from your photos that fat grafting is your best option. There is really no other permanent solution. Experience, attention to detail and artistry of the surgeon is what gets the best results not what gadget is used.

Answer: Correcting excessive liposuction You have a difficult problem. Correcting excess of liposuction it's difficult and at times not possible. The primary reason fat grafting is limited in your case is the lack of tissue to graft fat into. The amount of tissue left after your excessive liposuction is thin. Putting in high volumes of fat into limited areas leads to higher rates of fat necrosis with poor volume retention. The mid hip or upper outer thigh area is sometimes referred to as a hip dip. Some people have this naturally and it can be caused by poorly performing liposuction of the outer thigh. To avoid this during surgery patients should be on their side ideally with a foam wedge putting the legs apart. This maneuver it simple when patients are awake. When General Anastasia is used on outer thigh liposuction it becomes technically much more difficult. Please don't have high expectations for correcting this with fat transfer. My practice is devoted exclusively to liposuction and fat transfer procedures. I perform a minimum of 400 of these procedures per year. I'm sorry to have such a bleak outlook but I say it like I see it. Best, Mats Hagstrom M.D.
