I ask this question because I am 6 months post op liposuction and I feel that I still have fat they could've took out. I have gained about 3 lbs . I have a dent above my belly button. And my upper waist there is fat I can grab. So I want to know if do a 2nd round of lipo will I get a flatter stomach ??
Answer: Can having a second round of lipo give you a smaller waist? Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, without before and after photos it is difficult to give specific suggestions. Can you have a second round of lipo? The short answer is yes. BUT, you have to decide if you want or trust the same surgeon to do it (why did he/she fail the first time? your best chance for optimal results). What type of technique was used? A lot of surgeons use the term "sculpting", but in reality they are just doing fat reduction instead of sculpting. The stomach or abdomen is not flat as a board. It has three dimensionality based on the underlying muscles. The only flat part should be below your belly button down. In a youthful athletic female abdomen, there are definitions of the semilunar lines where the lateral rectus meets the oblique muscles, a gentle upper midline depression from the breast bone to the belly button, gentle depressions just below the lateral rib cage or negative spaces, a waistline sculpted down from the underlying skin to the muscle fascia. I encourage you to look at some models in magazines to see what I'm referring to.See a few board certified plastic surgeons experienced in advanced body sculpting techniques for an in person consultation. Remember, the more surgeries you have, the more scarring you develop internally and your desired results become less and less attainable. Good luck.

Answer: Liposuction Liposuction can be performed multiple times if you are deemed an appropriate candidate. 6 months is also an appropriate amount of time to wait between treatments as well. If you feel like you have a dent, you can also have it grafted and filled during your liposuction revision to help smooth the area out. It is best to have an in-office examination to determine which areas are best treated with more liposuction and what areas may need fat placed for a smooth and natural look. Hope this helps!! Answer: You will need an exam .. Hi You should be at your final result from your liposuction. You did mentio you gained weight so that may be contributing to your dissatisfaction as dieting and exercise do help to maintain your initial results. Liposuction does not remove all the fat you have - there's only so much that can be safely removed. If you feel there is more you should be reevaluated by your PS who did the first procedure and see if he or she thinks more can be removed - possibly using ultrasonic liposuction (VASER) may help. I hope this helps...
