I'm interesting in getting under eye filler. The dermatologist I went to recommended juvederm vollure. The benefits of this new HA filler are clear to me and I consider using it for NFL and around the mouth. However, I'm not sure it's suitable for under the eyes. Thank you
Answer: Treating the tear trough area The under eye area is delicate. The right choice of filler is really going to depend on your anatomy and isn't necessarily something that can be determined online. Vollure is an option as are Beletero or Restylane. Bottom line, do you trust your injector? If not, maybe it would be smart to get a second in person opinion. Best of luck.

Answer: Under eye filler Vollure is a great choice for the nasolabial folds, however is not my preference for the tear trough. Due to the eyelid skin being the thinnest skin on your body, I prefer a more silky and liquid filler to avoid discoloration and a puffy look. Options include Beletero or Restylane/Restylane Silk. Although it may seem more cost-effective to use a single filler for multiple parts of the face, a single filler type will not be appropriate for the wide variety of skin characteristics of the face. Hope this helps!Johnson C. Lee, MD Plastic Surgery
