I plan to have surgery in march and wanted to go size down from what I have right now. I got hp 400cc natrelle. I don't like how full the high profile look so I wanted to look for something a little bit more natural but not too small. I ask my dr and he measure me. He told me that my width is 12cm both size. The closest moderate size that I can get is 304cc or 339cc. I'm scare that I might go too small. What do you guy think ?

Answer: Down Sizing Breast Implants. You are one of the many that we are now seeing who, for whatever reason, has decided that they are too big and want to go a little smaller. I remind all of my patients that this procedure can be quite simple but it also be very complex depending on a number of factors. If your current implant pocket is too big for your smaller size then a new pocket will have to be created in order to control the position of the implant. In addition, you will have slightly higher risks for infection and capsule contracture with a revision surgery. Keep in mind that Allergan, the implant manufacturer, will nno longer warrant your implants for capsule contracture after a revision breast augmentation. It is hard to know what size would be best without seeing you and discussing your goals. You will need to go down at least 50 to 100 cc in order to see a difference. If you do not like the upper pole fullness of your current implants you may also consider a shaped gummy bear implant which tend to look a little more natural. I hope that helps. Best regards.

Answer: Downsizing breast implants In choosing to downsize, you usually need to go at least 80-100 cc's smaller to even know you did anything. From HP implants, IF the width of the current implants looks good on you, you can stay the same width (implant diameter) and drop down to a moderate plus or a moderate profile depending on how much of the upper pole fullness you wish to lose.
