I plan to have surgery in march and wanted to go size down from what I have right now. I got hp 400cc natrelle. I don't like how full the high profile look so I wanted to look for something a little bit more natural but not too small. I ask my dr and he measure me. He told me that my width is 12cm both size. The closest moderate size that I can get is 304cc or 339cc. I'm scare that I might go too small. What do you guy think ?
Answer: About Breast Implant Profile The profile is determined by the amount of projection versus roundness that the you desire, as well as the size of the implant and size of your chest. As much as it's important to know what size bra you currently wear, the strap size is important to know as well. It affects the diameter of the cup and subsequently the diameter of the #breast implant that you choose. In my practice, about 15-20% of the patients are good candidates for silicone #shapedimplants.#Subpectoral or #submuscular implants refer to placement under the muscle which still remains the most common placement in the United States. #Submammary or #subglandular implants are the placement under the breast tissue in front of the muscle. This tends to more common in Europe and South America. General guidelines suggest that women with larger drooping (ptosis) breasts that do not want a breast lift often have the implant placed above the muscle, although another option, #DualPlane, has become more popular. In the Dual Plane method, the implant is placed under the pectoralis muscle but the breast tissue is also release, in part, from the muscle. Those patients with minimal breast tissue should usually have the implant placed beneath the pectoralis muscle for more soft tissue padding. Your Plastic Surgeon will measure you to determine the best shape, size and placement of the #implants to be used. Lastly, another important element to a satisfying result of your #augmentation is realistic #expectations.

Answer: Downsizing Implants? When you are decreasing the volume of the implant, most women need to go down at least 50cc to see a difference in the breast size. If you currently have 400cc HP, the diameter of those implants is about 12.2cm. That is what your BWD is now. If you go down in size, you could go to a 325-350cc moderate plus implant. This would keep the width relatively the same so that you still have the shape, but would decrease the projection enough to have more of a natural appearance. I hope this helps.

Answer: Downsizing breast implant surgery concerns… Yes, you should be able to undergo downsizing of breast implants. Keep in mind as you are thinking about your goals that sometimes adjustment of the breast implant pockets (capsule adjustments) may be necessary to achieve the outcome you are looking for. Whether or not the adjustment of the breast implant capsules will be necessary will mainly be dependent on your physical examination; specifically, factors such as the amount of redundant skin and quality of skin elasticity will be important. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering revisionary (downsizing) breast augmentation surgery is: 1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “more natural” or "down a cup size” or "C or D cup" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your chosen plastic surgeon to work with you in determining the best plan to achieve your goals. I hope this, and the attached link (dedicated to revisionary breast surgery, specifically downsizing breast augmentation surgery concerns), helps. Best wishes.

Answer: Down Sizing Breast Implants. You are one of the many that we are now seeing who, for whatever reason, has decided that they are too big and want to go a little smaller. I remind all of my patients that this procedure can be quite simple but it also be very complex depending on a number of factors. If your current implant pocket is too big for your smaller size then a new pocket will have to be created in order to control the position of the implant. In addition, you will have slightly higher risks for infection and capsule contracture with a revision surgery. Keep in mind that Allergan, the implant manufacturer, will nno longer warrant your implants for capsule contracture after a revision breast augmentation. It is hard to know what size would be best without seeing you and discussing your goals. You will need to go down at least 50 to 100 cc in order to see a difference. If you do not like the upper pole fullness of your current implants you may also consider a shaped gummy bear implant which tend to look a little more natural. I hope that helps. Best regards.

Answer: Downsizing breast implants In choosing to downsize, you usually need to go at least 80-100 cc's smaller to even know you did anything. From HP implants, IF the width of the current implants looks good on you, you can stay the same width (implant diameter) and drop down to a moderate plus or a moderate profile depending on how much of the upper pole fullness you wish to lose.
