Hello,It sounds like your surgeon is on this issue appropriately, and the wound looks pretty good.  Santyl helps dissolve fibrinous exudate and is an excellent addition for larger, more difficult to clean wounds. It won't hurt if you use it though. You will heal in the next few weeks. Best of luck! 

now than what you originally posted.  The Santyl can help but time and wound care will also take care of this so if its pricey, I would probably not push the issue and just go with basic wound care.  You will heal so hope the final scar is a satisfactory one for you.
